High Point Fire Station No. 13
High Point, North Carolina |

|
Fire Station No. 13 is sited on a corner lot in an established neighborhood
of High Point. Being an infill station and part of a two-station expansion, this station will serve the city from
its central location far into the future. The station not only contains the usual day and night spaces, but also uses
specialized equipment such as a back-up generator, commercial kitchen, fireman's slide pole, and vehicle exhaust systems.
The exterior design uses a two-story entry porch, hipped roofs, and arched-topped windows giving it residential scale
and character. Adjacent to the fire station is a fallen firefighters memorial built by members of the High Point Fire
Department.
